Dakota Ridge RV Park
Site details: Concrete pads and full hookups (30/50 Amp) throughout, level sites, close to interstate
Pros: many amenities, great and helpful staff, close to downtown Golden and easy to drive through town
Cons: sites are VERY close together with little grass space, noisy due to traffic, expensive ($61/night)
This place was fine for a 3-day stay, but I would definitely not stay longer than that. It was way too expensive for an RV park, let alone the atmosphere of the park was less than par. Honestly, we were tired of driving and just wanted to spend a few days in Colorado with our friends.
Campland RV Park
Site details: Small park in small town, large gravel area with 10 full hookup sites (5 have 50 Amp service) located between the interstate and a trailer park
Pros: reasonable price ($25/night, $350/month + electricity), safe area, WiFi available, friendly owners
Cons: loud from interstate noise, small grass space, owners not usually in office
This is our home while in Burlington for 13 weeks for work, and we have enjoyed our time here. Although it’s not the best RV park we have been to, it is the best in Burlington; the next closest park is 30 miles away. It is located in town, so all of the basic amenities are within a 5 minute drive. There aren’t any shade trees in this park, so the afternoon sun can make the RV very hot inside. Overall, this is a good park for an overnight stay or a few months rental.
Prospect RV Park
Wheat Ridge, Colorado
Site details: Good location off main road northwest of Denver, family-owned, 70 sites (47 full hookups), park with path and lake next door
Pros: lowest price in Denver ($34.50/night), quiet, friendly owners, WiFi, laundry on-site
Cons: limited grass space, spaces are very close together
We reserved 1 night a few days in advance and ended up needing to stay a second night. Although they park was completely book, the owner moved people around to accommodate us, and we were able to stay a second night in a different site. This park is clean, but there is not a lot of space between RV sites. They do not offer any discounts, including Good Sam, because they try to offer the lowest price possible from the beginning.
