Memaloose State Park
The Dalles, OR

Rating: 4/5
Site details:
Concrete pads with partial and full hookups (30/50 Amp) throughout, level sites, very close to interstate
Pros: close to town with all necessities close by, friendly rangers, beautiful setting on the Columbia River, good space between sites
Cons: extremely close to the interstate, very loud from cars and trucks on road, have to pass through rest area to get to park (not an issue, just weird)

This park is a gem as far as state parks go, and we are lucky enough to have the chance to host at this park and stay for free! Russell is a maintenance host and helps out with projects around the camp including mowing and blowing leaves off the pads. This is a great park to stay in for an overnight stay or a prolonged visit. Although the interstate creates a lot of noise, the park is easily accessible and no issue to navigate with a big rig.
